Looking for things to do or places to visit in the Hunter Valley? This page gives you some useful suggestions and links for your get away.
Enjoy a Bushwalk!
After checking out the house and surrounding space, you might be ready to explore and go for a walk! The best way is to go up the hill behind the house. There is a bush path past the shed, just head up cross country, you will find caves to explore, a little rainforest and wonderful bushland. Nearing the top you will come across a fire trail, turn to your left and follow to the end, turn left again and this road with take you back to our front gate. Make sure to have adequate footwear and a bottle of water! It takes between 3-4 hours.
Maybe have a chat to us about this walk so we can give you more info.
We don’t recommend to walk in the summer months as this is a place where you might come across a snake. Best time for this adventure is between May and September.
The view from the top is spectacular!
Enjoy an outdoor fire!
It’s great fun to find your own sticks for the fire (we do supply outdoor fire wood in the winter months). You can cook on the metal rack or the gas bbq, roast marshmallows, tell each other stories and enjoy the stars on a clear night sky!
No fires in the summer months, as there is often total fire bans in place.
Enjoy doing nothing!
The verandah is a wonderful place to sit, relax in the hammock, read a book and watch your dog explore the open space!
Enjoy wine tasting!
